Welcome to Thornebrooke Elementary School!

Thornebrooke has 19 years of great success and I am proud to have been a part of the past 14 years. We had another “A grade” from the state for 2019 as we have each year since the school opened. Thornebrooke has wonderful volunteers and many opportunities for parents and families to take part in fun and interesting after-school activities. Because of that, we have been honored as a “Gold School” and a “Five Star School” every year. Along with our academic successes such as state test scores among the highest in Central Florida, top math teams, numerous accolades for the visual and performing arts, we also had Odyssey of the Mind teams who qualified for the World Championships last year. We are also recognized for the work with children on the Autism Spectrum. I am grateful for our excellent staff, hardworking students, and helpful and caring families.

I am honored to be Thornebrooke’s longest-serving principal. I have certainly enjoyed the exciting success and accomplishments here. I have over 30 years of experience in elementary education, along with some additional experience working on the high school level. I earned my education degrees at Florida State University and Stetson University. I have taught several grades with the majority of the years in fifth and second grades.

I am a runner and triathlete who completed several marathons including the Boston Marathon. I am thankful for my family and the time we spend together enjoying sports, camping, and reading.

I look forward to a wonderful year of great accomplishments by our students!

Sincerely,

Christopher Daniels
